Tirta Buana Waterfall, Swimming, Photograph, and Enjoying a Beautiful Waterfall

I have bought a screen filter for my camera. This is a neutral density filter that used to reduce the amount of light that come to lens and camera. So this is about photography and I search a beautiful waterfall to try this lens filter on my camera. Finally i found this waterfall that not far away from my home in Buleleng, Bali. This waterfall name is Tirta Buana Waterfall. What make this waterfall become amazing? We can swimming in a fresh water and enjoy a beautiful waterfall. Before that, let me tell you where this place is.

Where is Tirta Buana Waterfall?

Tirta Buana Waterfall Located in Sukasada, Buleleng, Bali Island. This place near to Sekumpul Waterfall that become the most iconic waterfall in Bali Island. If you come from Denpasar, you need to go to the north side, pass the Temblingan and Buyan Lake. After that amazing lake, just keep going to Bypass road then turn right after bypass in trijunction road. You will find a big banners that tell you the location of this waterfall.

For a simple, i will share you this map that send you to google map and show you where this waterfall is.

If you want to go there, just go before at 17.00 Central Indonesia Time Zone because the waterfall closed at that time.

How much the entrance?

The entrance price quite cheap because for a domestic tourist only Rp. 15.000,00 and Rp. 5.000,00 for park. This is price that I need to pay since I came there alone and use my motorcycle. There is no sign how much for Foreign Tourist or they divide their entrance price for child or another age range. There are several staff there so you can ask for more information. The parking area are quite large too, so dont worry if you drive there by your car. The parking price for car are Rp. 10.000,00 and there is staff that keep on eye on your venicle.

How about the way to get there?

You can use google map to go there by click the link that I provide above. Since the parking area is big enough for car, so don't worry about the road wide. It is big enough to make sure two cars can through from two opposite way. It is a asphalt road until you arrived at T-Intersection road. From here you would find an concrete road, so be careful when you pass this road at rain because this road become slippery. Another condition is this place located in high elevation so you need to careful because in some place there some cliff on the left side of the road. after arrived in the waterfall counter, the road become dirt. but, don't worry because the dirt road only for a moment. the park area are dirt too, so keep careful when you come to this place in the rainy season.

After parking the vehicle and paying entrance at counter, then I start to trekking section. The trekking section are dirt track that the road has about 5 m wide. so keep on eye on the road because in the rainy season, the track become slippery. better to prepare and use the match shoes for outdoor. but this is the cool part of the track. Tirta Bhuana Waterfall track was not too long, so for you who hate the long track on waterfall is a right decision for choose this waterfall. after that slippery dirt spot, then the road become steep track. the people and the staff here make a stairs from recycling used tires. they arrange the used tires to become a cool stairs along the track until you can see the waterfall on your right side. so it was not a hard track to go there.

How About The Waterfall And The Swimming Pool?

This is a quite short waterfall if I compare from the height of the falling water. the second things that the waterfall flow are not too big for people so it come from a smaller river than sekumpul Waterfall or many waterfall that have a big jump of waters. describing the waterfall that not too big and too dangerous, they built a small dam in the river downstream of waterfall and become a reservoir. people used this reservoir as a pool so the pool are made by human, not a natural pool. although the water still a fresh water from the mountain.

Since the waterfall are not too high, the waterfall spread and through a rock. so water flowing spready around the rock. make the waterfall become bigger and wider. this is a very good object for my photograph day and start to try my lens filter. another hand in downstream of the waterfall, water fall again from dam that people built to make swimming pool. it was look like two waterfall in a single shot. so it was a very good place to take a photograph.

many people swim in the pool. many tourist used to clean their body or just fresh their eyes by seeing an amazing waterfall. but keep careful about cramps. the pool it self are quite shallow but the main interest of become cramps are water temperature. here we stand in the elevation about +1000 above sea level so the water temperature is colder. sometimes wind blow fast and it make colder inside the water and outside the water. keep steady and prepare a warm clothes if you decided to swim here.

Enjoying The Waterfall

for you who decide to swim here, don't be worry about changing room. there is a food court above the waterfall after used tires stairs on the left side. they provided noodle, coffee, snacks, and also a changing room. there are also table here while you sit down, enjoying your meals and see the beautiful waterfall in front of you. this is an amazing places. I know there is a lot of section who need to prepare like the dirt section and safety while it was raining. anyway not many people come to this waterfall so it was a good waterfall with less people come here.
