When The Best Time to Visit Bali Island?

 I have vaccinated COVID 19 for 3 dose now. people in Indonesia called as a booster since the primary one are 2 dose earlier. The third dose of vaccine are mostly used for traveling. I know this kind weird but I wont talk much about that things since government deciding it as a term to travel. after all suffer in tourism this few years because of Covid 19. I think this is a very fresh wind. people can enjoy traveling with no covid 19 test such a rapid test or other things. no more quarantine when you visiting country, we hope this happen soon. and because of this, I really want to make a writing about Bali's island seasonal. this writing is for people who can get a right time to visit Bali island.

so basically in Indonesia have two seasons, rainy season and dry season. this two conditions of weather are because Indonesia located near Equator line and it is tropically type of season. Bali is one of that part. but for your information if we talk Indonesia weather, It has several type of condition and based on it's location. the location it self make difference of when the rain come based on the which month. for traveler this is a major information to make a decision what time you will go to Bali.

So i have lived in Bali for about 2 years and although there are some different condition in each part of Bali. I got a long data about rainfall recording since 1993 - 2019 in Buleleng Regency. I think all Bali island will have a similar condition of rainfall with this data. overall the weather are represented by this graph below:

Rainy Season

Rainy season is when the rainfall recorded high. so in a month mostly rain come to a place and in this case rain come to Bali. based on the data above, we can see that rainy season in Bali come from November - April. I write this article in April 2022 and outside of my home still raining. the peak of the rain come in January. this years are wet years and in last January of 2022, I have seen rain in one full week with thunderstorm and flood everywhere.

So for traveler who come to Bali in about this month, you will see a lot of water and rain. sometimes you can't see sun for a whole day. only dark cloud that covered the whole skies. if you come to Bali in this period of time, you have a smaller probability to see nice sunrise and sunset in Bali's beaches. there are several things that I can't recommended in this rainy season such as:

• Watching Sunset or Sunrise, it is hard because mostly in rainy season skies are covered by cloud.
• Rafting and Swimming in Waterfall, Bali provides several waterfalls and in some places like Ubud you can rafting. but in rainy season, mostly in all Bali's river happen a sudden flood. so it was quite dangerous do a lot of things in the river.
• Hiking is hard because rainy season always come with a thunderstorm. I think going hike in the middle of thunderstorm is stupid things to do.
• Taking a milkway photograph

but within these things, in a rainy season you can do a lot of things too. such as:

• taste the Kintamani Coffee and Hot plate of Mujair Nyat - Nyat in the middle of foggy Mount Batur.
• Stay Cation in the Amed, Amed is a place that located in Karangasem. they provide several near beach Villas.
• Take a bath in a hot spring. Bali have a several hot spring such as batur Hot spring, or a very hot one that located in Banyuwedang Hot spring near west Bali National Park area.

for you who love to take a cloudy photograph, Bali provide a lot of places that you can go. I take this photo on March in the North Beach Near Air Sanih Spring, Buleleng Regency. but that was absolutely your choices. if you hate being holiday in rainy season, just go on Mei to October, I think the best one is on June because Bali is not too hot like August but the skies quite clear.
